THE ORIGINS
What is Manuka Honey?
Manuka honey is produced by bees that pollinate the Leptospermum scoparium — the Manuka bush — native to New Zealand and parts of Australia. Unlike any other honey in the world, it possesses unique bioactive properties that set it apart as a true functional food.
For centuries, Māori people have used the Manuka plant for its natural healing properties — applying leaves and bark topically, and consuming its honey as a daily wellness ritual. Modern science has since validated what indigenous knowledge always held true.
What makes Manuka truly exceptional is Methylglyoxal (MGO) — a naturally occurring compound responsible for its renowned antibacterial and therapeutic potency. Regular table honey contains almost none; Manuka honey can contain over 100x more.
The MGO rating on each jar indicates its strength — the higher the number, the more concentrated the bioactive compounds. An MGO 250+ is ideal for everyday wellness, while MGO 800+ and above represents the rarest, most potent Manuka available.
Higher MGO = Stronger potency. Look for independently certified ratings on every jar.

THE ORIGIN
The Manuka Flower
Where it all begins.
The Manuka bush (Leptospermum scoparium) blooms for just 2–6 weeks each year. During this short window, bees collect nectar from thousands of individual blossoms. This brief, precious harvest season is what makes authentic Manuka honey so rare and valuable.
Grown wild across New Zealand and southeast Australia, the Manuka bush thrives in remote, unspoiled landscapes — giving our honey its clean, pure character.
Harvested from just 2–6 weeks of bloom each year.
